The D.A.R.E. Program is a joint project of the Rowley Police Department and the Triton Regional School District to prevent drug abuse and violence in children. Chief Kevin Barry and Principal Pat Marshall of Pine Grove School have worked together to make this program a success. The program emphasis is to help students resist pressures that may influence them to get involved in drugs/violence. We strive to promote each students self-esteem and good decision making skills.
My name is OfficerSheri David and I am the D.A.R.E. instructor for the Town of Rowley. I have completed more than 80 hours of specialized training for the D.A.R.E. program. I am assigned to the Pine Grove School for one day a week throughout the school year. Our D.A.R.E. program is now offered for students in grades K-6. Each lesson focuses on age appropriate material.
My personal goal for my students is to instill a positive self-esteem, help them to develop good communication and decision making skills to keep safe, and help find positive alternatives to negative influences. I look forward to meeting each student.
